I had originally wanted to do a portrait of someone famous and current. Lady Gaga was a good choice even though I didn't really listen to her music, but after researching for this painting a little, I found out I'm a Gagamaniac!

Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for the kind words. Yes, I throw down a lot of collage elements, paper, labels, tin cans, etc... before painting on top. Kind of making a mess with the surface then trying to make sense of it. I love your blue portraits on your web site, and your fashion pieces jump off the page.

Nice work Raven! Digging the usage of flat elements with the rendered face and hands. Is this traditional or digital?
